Madera Edible Garden Coordinator, PT
Madera Elementary School in El Cerrito is seeking a Garden Coordinator to share their skills, energy and ideas in our edible school garden and outdoor natural classroom. Ideal candidate enjoys working with and inspiring elementary school-aged children. The ability to motivate and coordinate parent garden volunteers is essential. The Garden Coordinator will assist in implementing garden curriculum selected by our faculty, as well as offering ideas for grade appropriate activities. The position is a rewarding opportunity to share your passion for growing food by engaging K-5th graders with hands-on learning opportunities that will also inspire good nutritional choices while also instilling a sense of stewardship and appreciation of our natural environment.
Compensation: $17/hour, average 12 hours/week
Including some nights and weekends for meetings, special events, or work parties.
