"Murder Mystery Weekend!” at Playland-Not-at-the-Beach Sept. 26-27

"Murder Mystery Weekend!” at Playland-Not-at-the-Beach

Saturday and Sunday, September 26-27: Murder Mystery Weekend

If you love solving puzzles and mysteries, step into old San Francisco and try your hand at “The Dark Mystery — Laughing Sal’s Revenge!” Become Jane Marple or Hercule Poirot or Sam Spade. Wear your best trench coat and weather-beaten hat as you prowl the corridors and halls of the Museum of Fun. Interview all the suspects and gather as much evidence as you can. Prizes awarded for the best detective work. Just don't turn your back on Laughing Sal or the Egyptian mummy case.

The special events of Murder Mystery Weekend are in addition to all of Playland's regular attractions. Guests pay one low price to enter and can play all day: $10 for children and seniors, and $15 for general admission. Playland-Not-at-the-Beach is a nonprofit Museum of Fun. Designed and built entirely by volunteers, the 20+ interactive exhibits celebrate the magic and history of America's bygone amusements -- circuses, carnivals, magic, side shows, penny arcades, amusement devices, pinball arcades, haunted houses, and beautiful art everywhere. Our goal is to educate newer generations about the bygone days and allow those who remember Whitney's Playland and the Sutro Baths the opportunity to recapture the glorious sights and sounds of that marvelous era.

Hours of operation: Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
